At Chili's, our commitment to inclusion and accessibility starts at the top. Constantly innovating requires the best hearts-and-minds leaders with diverse viewpoints who aren't afraid to challenge the status quo.
Our message of inclusion is simple:
We are real people being ourselves. We raise a glass at birthdays and anniversaries, we back each other up when life gets tough, and we celebrate all those wacky quirks and perspectives that make you…well…YOU!
The result is making Chili's restaurants and Chilis.com accessible for all humans. As such, our website offers the following features meant to make navigating easier.
Every page on Chilis.com is compatible with language information-assist systems, including speech synthesizers and Braille translators. With these applications, each page automatically knows whether it needs to switch to a different language mode.
We've added missing label tags and title attributes to our website to make it easier for customers to find the information they need in fewer keystrokes. People who have difficulties using their hands or who experience pain when doing so can benefit from additional label tags that bring up the content with less effort.
Non-text content can be difficult for some people with visual or cognitive disabilities to interpret. As such, we've integrated more alternative text on images throughout the site. Alternative text lends the content descriptive meaning and can be read by search engines.
Overall, our website structure has drastically improved. All of our PDFs now feature images with alternative text tags, we've focused on enabled text access for the visually impaired, text language is now specified, and all form fields have descriptions. Once you're familiar with how our menus work, you'll enjoy the same functionality across Chilis.com each time you visit.
We are developing new pages with keyboard accessibility in mind so that users can easily tab through a page to find the content they need.
